All happy families are alike, but every
unhappy family has its own unique reason for being unhappy. So it is for a
couple who decides to end a marriage and go for a divorce. There are many different and complex causes and reasons for divorce, each of them specific to
that particular couple's marital relationship, their individual experiences and personal problems.
So how are children affected by divorce? The
answer is not simple, which is one reason for much confusion. First of all,
divorce is almost always stressful for children. Anytime problems arise
not only can it affect you, but it can also affect your child. Often times the
child is caught in the middle of both parents which can result in extreme
stress and emotional upset. Once parents separate, there
may be conflict between them on the decisions affecting their child’s life.
There may also be conflict on the matter of where the child resides and how time with each parent is structured.
Child Custody
refers to who has legal decision-making authority in the life of a child. The decision-making authority is usually in regard to major life issues such as religion, education, health and activities.
Child
custody is one of the most troublesome issues for people who are divorcing. Who
will the children spend most of their time living with? What do you do about
holidays and vacations? Who has the decision making power when it comes to finding a school or choosing a doctor? What happens if one parent needs to move
because of a job? These are common decisions for all families and can be some
of the toughest for divorcing parents.
There are different types of custody that can be awarded, and this is determined by different factors that will be looked at
very carefully in court.
Physical Custody:-Parent has the right to have child live
with them instead of the other parent; an ample visitation schedule may be set
up for the other parent.
Legal Custody:-The legal right to make decisions about
the child’s upbringing.
Sole Physical Custody:-May be awarded to one
parent if the other parent is deemed unfit.
Joint Physical Custody:-Also known as shared
custody, it allows for time with the child to be split, on a basis as is agreed
between both parents or as is awarded by the court. Visitation does not apply
when joint physical custody is awarded. Rather, the terminology is
usually phrased in terms of parenting time.
Joint Legal Custody:-Both parents equally
share the decision making regarding child’s upbringing (education, medical
etc.)This is typically awarded with joint physical custody and visitation does
not typically apply.
Finally
children’s are suffering more problems from their Community, so children’s character also changed, some time they are become a criminals, they
don’t know what is true? What is fault?
We can’t justify them, because who is gave correct guidance for them? Actually
we are spoiling in our children’s life. So, think 100 times about divorce……
God is created families. So we have no rights
to spoil our family, Children’s are the gift of Lord…..
